Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part Two

[ English ]
  • Progressive side bets: Games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly offer one of these. You normally put a wager ($1 is the usual amt.) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that can be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though huge jackpots like these are particularly appealing, they’re also incredibly hard to win. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this bet. Also, picture this- you wager twenty hands and place the side bet each time. That’s 20 dollars you could have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Picture what you might have been able to win at a wager with better odds employing that $20.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is particularly true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only one. This shifts the complete casino advantage from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a huge fivepercent in American. The one number bet has just a 1 in 38 chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much lower casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you bet on it, the house edge can be a whopping twenty-five percent. Yes, that isn’t a typo. Because of the large set of numbers you have to pick, it is not advisable to play Keno very much. A couple of times for fun, perhaps. But don’t spend all your cash on it or you will quickly find yourself bankrupt.
